HC Deb 11 March 1954 vol 524 c188W
100. Mr. Shunner

asked the Minister of Pensions and National Insurance whether he will introduce legislation to include in the benefits of National Insurance the conveyance of a body to its place of interment when, for various reasons, a patient has been transferred from a hospital in one town to another town for treatment and dies.

Mr. Turton

No. A death grant is already provided under the National Insurance Scheme for expenses in connection with a funeral.
