§ 74. Sir R. Aclandasked the Minister of Labour whether he will reconsider the recent decision of his Department to withdraw the permit previously given for women workers to do shift work in paper mills in the Gravesend area.
§ Mr. WatkinsonPermission has not been withdrawn for women to do shift work. An authorisation is current until 24th April allowing the women concerned to work a three-shift system of six turns a week.
