Jonesasked the President of the Board of Trade whether his attention has been called to the reports of the Employment Committee for The Hartlepools on the need for the provision of additional factory space in and around The Hartlepools; and what action he proposes to take to make available additional employment of a character suitable for the unemployed persons.
§ Mr. H. StraussThis committee have discussed from time to 'time the need for additional employment in the area. A good deal of new industry has already been introduced and I understand that increased employment is expected from projects already established. We are also considering an extension to one of the Board of Trade factories.
