§ Mr. Ian Harveyasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department if he will make a statement about the side pay of members of the Civil Defence Corps and Auxiliary Fire Service who are injured on duty.
§ Sir D. Maxwell FyfeIt has been decided that members of the Civil Defence Corps who suffer loss of earnings as a result of injury on duty should receive sick pay broadly analogous to that of the Home Guard, and that members of the Auxiliary Fire Service in similar circumstances should receive sick pay based on that of a part-time fireman. Entitlement to such sik pay will be for a period of 26 weeks.
