§ LORD MANCROFTNo suitable summary of the various legislative and administrative obstacles to imports mentioned by the noble Lord is available from among the examinations which have been undertaken individually and collectively by Departments at various times on United States trading policies and practices. A number of comprehensive studies have, however, been made in the United States. The most convenient and comprehensive of these is the report by the Public Advisory Board for Mutual Security to the President of the United States, commonly known as the Bell Report, which was published in February, 1953. This is still substantially up to date, and I will make it available in the Library for reference. If the noble Lord wishes further information on any point, I will endeavour to obtain this for him.
