Mr. Patrick Maitland

asked the Minister of Housing and Local Government to publish a list of the local authorities in England and Wales whose county development plans have been approved, and indicate those cases where the plan relates only to a part of the county.

The following county development plans have been approved:

  • Berkshire.
  • Cardiganshire.
  • Cheshire (Part).
  • Durham.
  • East Suffolk.
  • Huntingdonshire.
  • Isles of Scilly.
  • Lincolnshire (Holland).
  • Montgomeryshire.
  • Radnorshire.
  • Westmorland.
  • West Sussex (Part I).
  • West Sussex (Part II).

In addition, the following county borough development plans have been approved:

  • Barrow-in-Furness.
  • Birkenhead.
  • Blackburn.
  • Bootle.
  • Burnley.
  • Burton-upon-Trent.
  • Canterbury.
  • Carlisle.
  • Chester.
  • Croydon.
  • Darlington.
  • Dewsbury.
  • Gateshead.
  • Gloucester.
  • Huddersfield.
  • Lincoln.
  • Middlesbrough.
  • Newcastle-upon-Tyne.
  • Oldham.
  • Preston.
  • Rochdale.
  • St. Helens.
