§ 65. Mr. Blenkinsopasked the Minister of Health what instructions were given to the British representative at the recent meeting of the World Health Organisation regarding the proposal to increase the total budget of the organisation for 1955 by £750,000.
§ Mr. Iain MacleodThe proposed increase involved additional expenditure of about 1,800,000 dollars. Our delegation was authorised to agree to an increase of about 1 million dollars but to oppose the further increase on the ground that it was attributable to projects which should be financed through the Expanded Programme of Technical Assistance.
