HC Deb 16 June 1954 vol 528 c143W
50. Mr. G. Roberts

asked the Assistant Postmaster-General what representations he has received from the Caernarvonshire Association of Parish Councils, viewing with concern the small allocation of rural telephone kiosks made to the county annually and the slow progress made in erecting the few allocated; and if he will make a statement.

Mr. Gammans

I have received representations through my hon. Friend the Member for Conway (Mr. P. Thomas) about rural kiosks in Caernarvonshire. 31 kiosks have been allocated to the rural areas of Caernarvonshire in the past 5 years and all of these have been provided. The allocation to Caernarvonshire could only be increased at the expense of other counties.
