HC Deb 15 June 1954 vol 528 c132W
21. Mrs. Braddock

asked the Secretary of State for War whether he will institute immediately an inquiry into the treatment of National Service man Eric William Rigby, No. 2 Training Unit, Royal Army Ordnance Corps, Aldershot, who threw himself out of a train at Crewe whilst being taken back under escort to Aldershot in order to avoid a repetition of the treatment he had previously received, full details of which have been sent to him.

Mr. Head

As my hon. Friend has assured the hon. Member in his letter, inquiry has shown the allegations of ill-treatment of this man to be unfounded.
