§ Major Anstruther-Grayasked the Secretary of State for Scotland what preparations he is making for the establishment of the South of Scotland Electricity Board when the Electricity Re-organisation (Scotland) Bill is passed.
§ Mr. J. StuartThe Board cannot, of course, be appointed until the Bill is passed. If it becomes law in substantially its present form, it is my intention to appoint Mr. J. S. Pickles, the present Chairman of the South-West Scotland Electricity Board and Sir Norman Duke, the Chairman of the South-East Scotland Electricity Board, to be the chairman and deputy-chairman, respectively, of the new Board. I am not in a position at present to make any statement about the other members.
