asked the Minister of Labour whether he will now make a statement on the employment position in the United Kingdom compared with a convenient date 12 months ago and in 1951.

There were over 200,000 more in employment in Great Britain at the end of May this year than a year ago and over 250,000 more than in May, 1951. Unemployment in June this year was 58,000 fewer than last June and 49,000 more than in June, 1951.
