asked the Minister of Agriculture whether, in view of the fact that many farmers have lodged objections to the Fatstock Marketing Scheme, he will give an assurance that the inquiry will not be held during harvest time.

I can assure my hon. Friend that the inquiry will not take place before October. I hope it will be possible to announce a firm date shortly.
