HC Deb 19 July 1954 vol 530 c77W
Sir A. Bossom

asked the Minister of Agriculture if he will consider extending the experimental scheme of farm sampling under the National Milk Testing Service.

Sir T. Dugdale

An experiment in sampling designated milk at the farm instead of at the buyer's premises was carried out in Wales and the West Midlands, and the results are now being examined. The general indications are that the experiment has achieved the object of increasing the efficiency of sampling without adding to the cost of the service. I will certainly consider extending the arrangement to the rest of England and Wales and propose shortly to consult the interested organisations.
