HC Deb 19 July 1954 vol 530 c75W
50. Sir R. Acland

asked the Under-Secretary of State for Air to state, in general terms, what training or what other activity connected with the work of the Royal Air Force took place on Crichel Down in 1946, 1947, 1948 and 1949, respectively.

Mr. Ward

This range was not used by the Royal Air Force during the period in question, but the Ministry of Supply used it for experimental bombing and rocket firing until the middle of 1948. The remainder of the period was occupied with clearing the land of unexploded missiles.
