The following statement gives the number of properties released by each Metropolitan borough in 1952 and 1953 respectively and the number of units of accommodation that they represent:

Local authorities will be urged to exercise to the full their powers of giving information on the Rent Acts, and I shall give them and voluntary bodies such as the Citizen's Advice Bureaux, who run information centres, all the help I can.
