HC Deb 26 January 1954 vol 522 c216W
78. Lieut.-Colonel Hyde

asked the Secretary of State for War whether he will make a statement on the circumstances in which a British soldier was recently attacked in a public thoroughfare in Belfast and stripped of his uniform.

Mr. Head

The matter is still the subject of police investigation. Preliminary inquiries show that a soldier on leave in Belfast from this country was the alleged victim of an incident of this sort.
