§ 85. Mr. Murrayasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer if he is aware that the present tax of 2s. 6d. per gallon on diesel fuel-oil is causing great concern to a number of bus companies and that there is danger of the public being asked to pay increased fares unless he can see his way to give a substantial reduction in the near future; and whether he will give this matter his consideration with the view of assisting the travelling public.
