HC Deb 26 January 1954 vol 522 c226W
Mr. Lewis

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs how many of the German airmen, who are to commence training on modern planes at Hamble Airfield, were engaged in the German air force during the last war.

Mr. Dodds-Parker

I am informed that these four German pilots were all previously in the Luftwaffe. Her Majesty's Government were not responsible for the selection of the pilots, who are doing basic flying training in this country under arrangements made direct with a private British firm.
