HC Deb 22 January 1954 vol 522 c194W
Mr. H. A. Price

asked the Minister of Health (1) why he has refused permission for a start to be made on the reconstruction of Lewisham Hospital after bomb damage;

(2) what considerations have led him to reduce the degree of priority given to the reconstruction of Lewisham Hospital by the London County Council before the coming into force of the National Health Service Act.

Mr. Iain Macleod

This project is still regarded as of high priority, but it has had to be deferred for the time being because of limitations on the amount of money available for capital works in the hospital service.
