§ 85. Mr. Malcolm MacPhersonasked the Minister of Education what new proposals she is considering, in consequence of the recent discussions sponsored by the Federation of British Industries, at which her Department was represented, for remedying the shortage of science and mathematics teachers.
§ Miss HorsbrughNo specific proposals were submitted to me by the conference. But the discussions provided a valuable opportunity for an exchange of views, and a liaison committee is being established in order that close contact may be maintained between industry and the educational interests concerned while the Report of the National Advisory Council is under consideration.
