asked the Under. Secretary of State for Air whether a decision has yet been reached on the proposal to include a Welsh emblem in the design of future standards for Royal Air Force squadrons; and whether he is now in a position to supplement his reply to the hon. Member for Barry on 20th May, 1953.

Yes. Her Majesty has now approved a new design, incorporating the leek as a Welsh emblem, which will be used for all Squadron Standards made in future.
