§ Mr. G. Thomasasked the Minister of Education what representations have been made by her Department to local education authorities concerning the remission 241W in part or in total of past loans to students training to be teachers.
§ Miss HorsbrughNone. Authorities are, I think, well aware of the position, which is that, whilst any general remission of loans would be of doubtful legal propriety, it is open to them to consider total or partial remission on the merits of any particular case.
