§ 68. Mr. T. Reidasked the Secretary of State for the Colonies what verdicts have been secured up to date on the charges of corruption against public men in the Gold Coast; what was proved against them; and how many others have been similarly charged.
§ Mr. LytteltonAtta Mensah, formerly Ministerial Secretary to the Minister of Communications and Works, and Ohene Djan, formerly Ministerial Secretary to the Minister of Finance, were sentenced on 9th February to two years imprisonment concurrently on each of two counts of corruption. No other public men have been charged with corruption.
