§ 75. Lord John Hopeasked the Secretary of State for Scotland what steps are taken to prevent pilfering from parked bicycles belonging to the staff of the Government office buildings at Broomhouse Road, Saughton, Edinburgh.
§ Mr. J. StuartShelters are provided for parked bicycles with in the boundary fence at the rear of the building. The shelters are visited at intervals by messengers on doorkeeping duties and are kept under observation by the local police, to whom cases of pilfering that have occurred have been reported. The position is being kept under review.
