NOTES—
(i) It is not practicable to calculate yields or values per acre for livestock products.
(ii) In so far as corn or other crops are used for animal feed their aggregate value is included again in the aggregate value of the livestock products.
(iii) The subsidy figures exclude production grants.
(iv) Subsidy figures are based on M.O.F. Supplementary Estimates for 1953–54.
(v) The figures relate only to 1953–54, in which year the yields of crops, including cereals, were particularly high and well above the average for the last five years.
