HC Deb 11 February 1954 vol 523 c161W
102. Mr. Hamilton

asked the Minister of Health how many haemophiliacs there are in the United Kingdom;to what extent the figures show an increase or a decrease over the last 10 years; and what medical research is being directed to finding a cure for this disease.

Mr. Iain Macleod

I regret that the information asked for in the first two parts of the Question is not available. Research is in progress in several centres in the United Kingdom and the problem is engaging the special attention of the Medical Research Council.
