asked the Minister of Labour what steps he has taken to assist the agricultural industry in finding men with agricultural experience to replace those agricultural workers who are called up for National Service.

The services of my local offices are available to farmers requiring agricultural workers. During the twelve months ended 13th January, 1954, my local offices placed 9,070 workers in regular and 24,067 workers in seasonal agricultural employment.
