§ Lieut.-Colonel Bromley-Davenportasked the Minister of Food, in view of the wide powers which he is seeking under the Food and Drugs (Amendment) Bill to introduce regulations covering all aspects of food hygiene and that these new powers will to a large extent overlap the provisions in existing local statutes relating to similar matters, what procedure he is proposing to adopt to eliminate redundancy in order to ensure that the trade interests concerned shall not be subjected to conflicting and dual control in such matters.
