§ Mr. Gammans326 applications were outstanding on the 31st December. 1953, of which 220 were in course of provision. The earliest is dated 12th May, 1951, and is from a subscriber who already has a telephone, but requires an additional line. During 1953, 1,195 new lines were connected.
