34. Mr. Driberg

asked the Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation if he will define the rights of pedestrians on police-controlled zebra crossings at times when the police are not on duty at them.

Mr. Molson

Under the Pedestrian Crossings Regulations pedestrians have precedence over vehicles at all zebra crossings unless traffic is for the time being controlled by a police officer in uniform.
