HC Deb 03 February 1954 vol 523 c44W
87. Mr. Russell

asked the Secretary of State for the Colonies to what extent lack of co-operation by other countries is hindering the anti-locust campaign in British East Africa.

Mr. Hopkinson

My right hon. Friend is not aware of any lack of co-operation by other countries in regard to the anti-locust campaign in British East Africa itself. He has been concerned over the amount of co-operation between other territories included in the outbreak area of the desert locust, and welcomes the steps recently taken to improve the situation in that respect.
