HC Deb 01 February 1954 vol 523 cc2-3W
14. Mr. Boardman

asked the Minister of Food how far any arrangement is being made to provide that, following the derationing of butter, old age pensioners and particularly the aged sick shall be assured of a regular supply of butter at a price they can afford to pay.

Major Lloyd George

I do not think that any such arrangements will prove necessary on de-control.

21. Lieut.-Colonel Lipton

asked the Minister of Food whether the subsidies on butter and cheese will be continued when these commodities are de-rationed.

Major Lloyd George

I would refer the hon. and gallant Member to the reply given to my hon. and gallant Friend the Member for Angus, South (Captain Duncan) on 28th January.
