§ 47. Mr. Llewellynasked the Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation whether he is aware that road accidents in Glamorgan have increased by 8.6 per cent. during the first 10 months of this year, compared with the same period in 1953, and casualties have gone up by 10 per cent.; and whether he will, therefore, asist further in hastening road improvements in Glamorgan.
§ Mr. Boyd-CarpenterI am aware of this unfortunate increase in accidents, and will bear it in mind in assessing Glamorgan's need for such road improvement schemes as have value from a safety angle.
