None. But I am aware that suggestions have been made that the Federation should be dissolved and Northern Rhodesia be partitioned, part being amalgamated with Southern Rhodesia, and the remaining parts, together with Nyasaland, reverting to the position of separate Protectorates. Any such suggestion is wholly unacceptable to Her Majesty's Government.

They adhere to the maintenance of the Federal Constitution, the principle of which is that all the three constituent Territories are embraced within the Federation. They are satisfied that the right course for all concerned with the affairs of Central Africa is to lend all their efforts to make a success of the great Federal undertaking which was inaugurated last year and which is developing so well.
