§ Mr. Teelingasked the Minister of Pensions and National Insurance what is now the position of old-age pensioners 272W living out of Great Britain and particularly in Eire; and what will happen to those who go to live in Eire.
§ Mr. PeakePersons who have qualified for contributory old-age pensions or National Insurance retirement pensions may receive these pensions abroad if they are living or go to live in any part of the Commonwealth or in the Irish Republic, or in a country with which the United Kingdom has a reciprocal agreement covering such pensions. These pensions are payable at the rates current at the time when they went to go or live abroad, or, if they had gone abroad before qualifying for pensions, at the time when they first qualified.
