HC Deb 20 December 1954 vol 535 c220W
85. Mr. Vane

asked the Minister of Food what are the main foodstuffs imported from France; and how the prices compare with similar prices of British foodstuffs.

Dr. Hill

Wines and spirits, wheat, fruit and vegetables and canned meats. Only in the case of wheat is a price comparison possible. Prices of English wheat delivered to port mills are closely in line with c.i.f. prices for comparable French wheat.
