HC Deb 20 December 1954 vol 535 c242W
Sir A. Bossom

asked the Minister of Agriculture if he is aware that the figures contained in the reports of certain comparative market prices for horticultural produce issued by his Department are inclined to be misleading as they make no provision for climatic variations between corresponding weeks of each year; and if he will remedy this by coupling them with a report on market conditions.

Mr. Amory

The effects of seasonal variations on horticultural supplies are described in horticultural crop reports issued twice monthly. If these reports were combined with the weekly price reports, there would be some delay in the issue of the price reports and the combined material would in any case be too voluminous for ready publication weekly.
