§ 104. Mr. Hastingsasked the Minister of Health in how many general and special hospitals one or more dental sessions are provided regularly every week; and how many of such hospitals have beds reserved for dental treatment.
§ Miss Hornsby-SmithI regret that the information cannot be supplied in the form asked for without a disproportionate amount of work. But the work being done by all grades of hospital dental staff other than house officers at 31st December, 1953, was the equivalent of 3,803 sessions weekly. The total number of beds allocated to consultant dentistry at that date was 249.
