§ 98. Mr. Doddsasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department if he can yet make a statement in respect of the case of Mr. E. P. Dimmick, 28, Woodlands Park, Bexley, who has only been able to recover £5 5s. costs against the Metropolitan Police when the expenses of his defence amounted to £17 16s. in a case in which the evidence shows that the prosecution ought never to have been made; and, under the circumstances, if he will arrange for reimbursement of the balance of expenses incurred.
