§ 94. Mrs. L. Jegerasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department when he expects to take further steps to implement the recommendations of the Gowers Committee Report on the health and welfare of non-industrial workers and the hours of work of juveniles.
§ Major Lloyd-GeorgeI would refer the hon. Member to the answer which I gave on 18th November to the hon. Member for Sheffield, Park (Mr. Mulley). The law on the hours of employment of juveniles in mines and quarries was amended by the Mines and Quarries Act, 1954. The Government do not at present contemplate legislation for other places of employment.
