§ Mr. GammansI am sorry Mr. Vitty is having to wait for a telephone, but we cannot put any more wires on the telegraph poles serving his neighbourhood. No one in his neighbourhood is under an obligation to share his line, and we have not succeeded in persuading anyone to share with him voluntarily. We have plans for a new line scheme to serve this area, but because of other more urgent work I am afraid it will be some time before it is completed.
