§ 104. Mr. P. Williamsasked the Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation what meteorological records referring to the Boldon Airport site his Department has kept; and whether he is aware of the unsuitability of the weather there in the winter months.
§ Mr. Boyd-CarpenterNo meteorological records have been kept for the Boldon Airport site, but some records are available for the R.A.F. airfield at Usworth, which is only a mile away. I have no reason to believe that the weather there is any worse than at existing airports in industrial areas.
§ 105. Mr. P. Williamsasked the Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation whether he will make a statement on the future of the proposed international airport site at Boldon in County Durham.
§ Mr. Boyd-CarpenterI have no present plans for the development of Boldon.
