§ Mr. Boyd-CarpenterIn the year beginning 1st April, 1953, grants from the Road Fund totalling £759,532 were made for 75 schemes of major improvement and new construction in Scotland, including £150,020 for the following 11 schemes of road construction. This does not of course include grants in respect of road maintenance.
