§ 19. Lieut.-Colonel Liptonasked the Secretary of State for War what facilities are available for the cremation of Servicemen who die in the Canal Zone and the cost of cremation and despatch of the remains to the United Kingdom.
§ Mr. HeadThere are no facilities in the Canal Zone. It is possible to arrange cremation in Cairo, but there are special difficulties as I have explained to the hon. and gallant Member. The cost varies from £140 upwards.
