§ Mr. GammansThe gross sum raised would, of course, be £25 million, but this would have to cover the Exchequer contribution, Post Office costs and Income Tax. It is impossible to give any specific sum which would be available for television, since allocations are made to the B.B.C. 41W to enable it to meet its costs of operation, both for capital and revenue expenditure, and there is no differentiation as between sound and television services.
