§ Mr. Pearsonasked the Assistant Postmaster-General whether he is aware of the shortage of equipment at the Llantrisant, Glamorgan, telephone exchange and, in view of the number of applications for telephones not being met if he will endeavour to have the position rectified in the near future.
§ Mr. GammansIt is not possible to extend the capacity of the Llantrisant exchange in the present accommodation and a new automatic exchange is to be provided when a suitable site can be obtained. Owing, however, to the heavy calls upon our resources, I regret that I can see no possibility of the new exchange being ready for some considerable time.
