HC Deb 29 October 1953 vol 518 c412W
Mr. Malcolm MacPherson

asked the Secretary of State for War to what extent the number of accepted applicants for the January, 1954, intake at Welbeck College fell short of the number of vacancies; and to what causes he attributes the shortfall.

Mr. Head

There has been no shortfall. The entry in January next year totalling 27 will, with the 48 who have already entered, bring the strength of the College up to 75, the figure planned for that date.
