HC Deb 27 October 1953 vol 518 c333W
6. Mr. M. Lindsay

asked the Minister of Works whether, in view of the success of the alterations to Alexandra Gate permitting vehicles to leave Hyde Park two abreast, he will take similar steps to widen the exit at Hyde Park Corner.

Sir D. Eccles

I am advised by my right hon. Friend the Minister of Transport that merely to widen the park gates at Hyde Park Corner would not improve traffic conditions. A comprehensive plan of traffic improvements at Hyde Park Corner has been prepared, but must wait until money is available.
