asked the President of the Board of Trade what consultation there was with his Department before Messrs. Price Tailors, Limited, announced their decision to close their Sunderland Trading Estates factory.

I understand that Messrs. Prices had informed North-Eastern Trading Estates, Limited, shortly before giving notice to their employees, that they were seeking to dispose of their tenancy of this factory. They did not consult us about their decision to close down.
