Mr. J. Johnson

asked the Secretary of State for the Colonies when he will publish the Perry Report upon the financial and administrative arrangements for Lagos as a town in the Western Region and as the capital of Nigeria.

Mr. Perry's report was published by the Government of Nigeria on 25th September. It dealt with the financial and administrative arrangements in capitals other than Lagos, especially in federal countries, and did not draw any direct conclusion applicable to Lagos.
